The Most Ridiculous Religions of the World

Religion is supposed to guide us through life, to give us strength to overcome difficulties and help us to reach spiritual enlightenment. However, some of the religious movements seem to be so ridiculous that it becomes doubtful whether they can lead the believers anywhere at all. But may be it is just the fact of believing in something which is important no matter what you choose to be your sacred object or a supreme aim.

One of the most ancient religions in India is called Jainism and is supported by more than five million people nowadays. The main principle of this religion is not to hurt any living being, that’s why Jainists do not eat meat or carry weapon. Some of the supporters of this religion are called “dressed in light” and do not wear any clothes at all. They breathe through gauze bandages in order not to hurt any insect by accident and sweep the road in front of them with a special brush. They are very abstinent in food and the top level of sanctity to them is to starve to death.

Weird celebrity religions.

To be a celebrity sometimes means to be as different as possible. It may refer not only to their style and image but to religion as well. Well, it appears to be that to profess Catholicism or Protestantism is so boring and out-of-date occupation. To tell the truth some of the religions celebrities prefer to profess are pretty weird. So, let’s see the main principles of these religions and those who decide them to the others.

Jehovah’s Witnesses. Well, the definition of the religion is pretty complicated. To be brief it means that one day world’s evil would be destroyed and there would a theocracy established under God’s rule. And also they believe that their interpretation of the Holy Bible is more correct and obviously better than anyone else’s. So they have their own translation of the Bible also known as the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. And of course the witnesses believe that the true name of God is Jehovah. Jehovah’ witnesses deny Trinity conception (not good). By the way there are over 7 million followers of Jehovah. Among them are Venus and Serena Williams, Ja Rule and even Michael Jackson. It seems like they have the same practice of expansion of their ideas worldwide. Thus the urban dictionary defines it as “the religion that sends people in suits to your door preaching their version of the Bible”. Never open the door to them!

Spies who changed the course of events.

Today I would like to devote my post to the most famous and prolific spies who changed our history. I would like to tell you some words about those who influenced the course of events being power brokers. Not many could imagine themselves at the time who these people actually were and how influential their actions turned out to be. To tell the truth I do not know much about them and that’s why it would be kind of research for myself as well. So I would like to focus my attention on two spies I have heard about but do not know about them pretty much.

So let’s start from Mata Hari. Her name is well known and seemed to be very familiar to me for a long period of time. But what did she do in reality? Well, actually she was an exotic dancer and…a lady of easy virtue. Her actual name was Margaretha Geertruida (Grietje) Zelle but later she changed it to Mata Hari that means “Eye of the Dawn”. And by the way she pretended to be a princess of Java. She started her career as a dancer after divorce and later she became a mistress and courtesan to influential and significant politicians and even military men. Evidently from that time she started her espionage career gathering intelligence. The point is that she was Dutch and during the World War I the Netherlands kept neutral. That’s why she could easily cross the borders and it attracted attention of the Allies. It is still unknown whether she spied for Germany or for France during World War I. Her personality later served as a prototype of femme fatale image exploited in literature and cinema of the time. Unfortunately she came to no good and was executed by firing squad in 1917 for spying ostensibly for Germany. She was mysterious woman indeed and recognized as influential one.

How to play with a child.

It’s extremely important for a year-old baby to develop his physical and mental skills. To discern his abilities is the task of his parents and it’s important not to lose the moment to start training. And the first thing you have to teach your child is to play games. Games set up a child for a positive wave, teach him to behave unassisted, develop his perception of the world, help to learn new things, train his memory and speech.

There’s so much information around a little baby, and everything should be learned, that’s why parents have to keep in mind that all the aspects for the correct development of a child should be reflected in their games. For example, with a one-year-old child it’s necessary to learn more about nature and music and how to work with a construction set. Games should be various. Every day choose different games which are aimed at developing different child’s skills. Don’t overload a baby with playing and also be in harmony with your and your child’s possibilities, mood and time limits.
